How the smell of a person stays with you even when they’re gone. How people make promises and bare their souls to someone, despite knowing how common it is for promises to be broken. How people can erase you from their lives cause it’s just easier then working things out.”
Is that it? Is it over?
Did you ever think that I would give up? Did you ever think that I would give up Engineering and my dream to be an Engineer?
Did you think that I won’t be able to do it? That I won’t be able to finish this? Yes, taking up engineering is a hard road to take. Oftentimes, we don’t get enough sleep trying to figure out which one to do first, trying to study for the Final exam, or doing the circuit/prototype to be submitted the next day, or doing laboratory reports due tomorrow. And then, no matter how hard we study, we still fail, WE JUST FAIL. And sometimes, oftentimes, we’re just so broke to the core because of buying components needed for the circuit/project. And not only that, no matter how much we miss sleeping in our own beds, we just couldn’t because we have to do overnights just to do projects. Yes, there are so many times that I am too close to quitting, but I didn’t. And I’m so proud that I didn’t. And everything is just so worth it, because I didn’t.
If you ever thought that I am gonna quit and I won’t be able to handle it, well, you are wrong. You are so wrong, because in a few days, I’m gonna be marching, wearing my toga, to get the diploma, that for five years, I have been working so hard to get.
But don’t worry, I won’t forget the stories and good times that we’ve shared. I won’t also forget all the things that I have learned. Because among the grades that I have been given, the memories, experiences, the learnings and the friendships with my batchmates, co-students and professors that have developed over the years will still be the most important. For that, thank you, bigtime.
And to be honest, I’m gonna miss you, college. I’m gonna miss everything, because as of now, I don’t know what kind of world I’m gonna be dealing with after you. It scares the hell out of me. But I still believe that what you’ve thought me is enough for me to face everything. So thank you.

CERTIFIED ECE KA KUNG..
1. NAPASO KA NA NG SOLDERING IRON/PANG-HINANG.
Parte yan ng buhay nating ECE students at di maiiwasan, ngunit kung ikaw ay di pa napapaso, aba, congrats sayo! Bakit hindi mo kaya i-try? haha. Pero laging tandaan, ‘once is enough, twice is too much’. Kaya hinay-hinay sa paso. :)
2. MERON KANG TOOLBOX NA MAY LAMANG PANGHINANG, MULTITESTER, SOLDERING LEAD, CONNECTING WIRES, RESISTORS/CAPACITORS, SIDE CUTTER, LONG NOSE AT SIYEMPRE, BREADBOARD.
Tinatanong pa ba kung bakit? haha. Pero pwede namang hindi toolbox, basta decent na lalagyan ng components at tools.
3. NAKURYENTE KA NA.
Bilang mag-aaral ng electronics, siyempre na try mo ng makahawak ng short circuited na circuit o kung ano pa man. At siyempre, thankful ka dahil small amount of current lang ang dumaloy sa katawan mo at buhay ka pa. haha.
4. MERON KANG T-SHIRT NA MAY MANTSA NG FERRIC CHLORIDE.
Kapag gumagawa ng PCB, sure ako, kahit gano ka pa ka-ingat sa pagbabad ng PCB sa Ferric chloride, may time pa rin na mamantsahan yang damit mo.
5. ALAM NA ALAM MO ANG BRANCHES NG ALEXAN, AKITECH, ANG NAG-IISANG E-GIZMO, AT ANG PASIKUT SIKOT SA RAON.
Ang ating mga suking tindahan. Ayan ang ating mga Department Stores. Lahat ng kailangan sa buhay buhay, sa kanila matatagpuan. At pag medyo nahirapan? hindi natin malimutang kumunsulta sa kanilang online technical consultants.
6. KILALA MO SI FLOYD, TOMASI, GIBILISCO, FRENZEL, AT BLAKE.
Kilala mo lang sila, pero di mo pa binabasa. Sabi mo babasahin mo, pero saka na. haha.
7. ALAM MO ANG SOFTWARES NA Zilog, C/C#, Java Multisim, MatLab, Diptrace, AutoCad.
Pag ECE, di lang puro technical skills, programmer rin. Kung mapalad ka naman sa PLC, alam mo rin yung LOGO!.
8. ALAM MO KUNG PARA SAAN ANG PHRASES NA “Bad Boys Rape Only Young Girls But Violeta Give Willingly”, “PaDapa Na Tinira Si Pricilla Almeda” etc.
Mga mnemonics para madaling makabisado ang mga bagay bagay. Yung una, sa resistor color coding yung pangalawa, seven osi layers. Marami pang ganyan, pero sa ECE basta mas funny/witty/green mas maganda, kase mas madaling tandaan. haha.
9. ISA SA FAVORITE MOVIES MO ANG TRANSFORMERS, REAL STEEL, ETC.
Favorite movie mo dahil sa implementation ng Robotics.
Oh well. Ewan ko if these things apply to you. Pero yung mga batchmates ko, for sure they did.
Mamimiss ko ECE life ko as a student. But one thing’s for sure, 5 years aren’t enough to learn Electronics Engineering. It is a continuous process, y’know. Everyday you learn, pwedeng sa acad related, pero most of the time, mas matututo ka ng diskarte sa buhay eh. At yun talaga yung nakakamiss dun. :)
